About Positive Steps

We exist to help people achieve their potential.

Positive Steps is a charitable trust that has been delivering support services across Oldham, Rochdale and Tameside since 2001. We work with young people, families, adults and the wider community — building the trusted relationships that create lasting change.

Our Story

From small beginnings to 200 staff strong.
Founded in 2001, we've grown from a small careers guidance service into a wide-reaching organisation employing around 200 people. We're funded through a mix of local authority contracts, charitable trust grants, donations and traded income — which means everything we do goes back into the communities we serve.

Our mission

To empower people to achieve their potential by building trusted relationships that develop skills, knowledge and confidence.
People First
We care about the work we do and the people we work with.
Making Impact

Teamwork

Our Partners

Working with the right people.
We work alongside Oldham Council, Rochdale Council, GMCA, HMPPS, The Big Life Group, TOG Mind, Age UK, and Transport for Greater Manchester to deliver joined-up support that makes a real difference.
